Hi all ,

I am having to leave Singapore urgently tonight due to unforeseen circumstances.

As such I am sorry to have to make a few changes to your classes:

1) tomorrow - Thursday 8 Jan 09 – 9am -12 noon, you will continue to have your presentation as discussed. My colleague, Rachna, who is the subject leader,
will be taking your class on my behalf tomorrow.
2) After tomorrow, class will stop and re-commence again on 14 Jan 09 Wednesday.
3) Your final submission will be extended a week into the next block so no worries on that. I will keep you informed when we meet.

For tomorrow’s presentation let me recap the criteria:

1) The class has to learn from you something about your topic of research and exploration. Please do not state the obvious. You should be providing us with interesting new info to the topic.
2) Your presentation on the topic will also be assessed based on how interesting is your delivery.
3) Many of your topic research will have information that applies to other topics on colour and light. That is perfectly fine and expected.
4) Rachna is new to this brief, so make sure you introduce clearly your topic of exploration and research to her during your presentation.
5) Each presentation should take about 5 -10 mins max.
