P3 OH SHIT

Dear Project 3 participants,

I would like to bring up the attention that from tomorrow onwards, there will be no switch of class unless you have a valid reason supported with document. This is to allow me to better organize the class activities. As you are aware, I am handling over 50 students and I need your utmost corporation to facilitate your learning, so be fair to me. I hoped the presentation, exercise and discussion helps in the initial establishment of your project over these few days.

You have to make the habit of coming to studio, as if you are working in a company. You wouldn’t want to be late for work and set bad impression eventually, do you? Please do not come in late and disrupt the workshop, you are not welcome once it started. I will be organizing a couple workshops such as concept sketching, ergonomic, CMF, etc, in the next few weeks, so make sure you are on schedule in your project in order to take advantage. As mentioned earlier, if you need to conduct any research which coincides the reporting time, email me 24 hr in advance.

I will be monitoring your progress and will be updating it so you know where you are standing. For consultation next week onwards, please have your sketches and relevant documents ready before discussion (bring a laptop if u needed), dun come to us with merely a thumbnail sketch and expect lecturers to solve the problem for you! You are a designer and you should learn to frame, propose and facilitate solutions for discussion.

Week 2 (**Commence Research**) you should start work on the following:

Mon: adopted creative method presentation A4 size + 3 Sketches in A2 size (all to be pin on board)

Tues: Literature search update presentation A2 size + 3 Sketches in A2 size (all to be pin on board)

Wed: Moodboards presentation A2 size + 3 Sketches in A2 size (all to be pin on board)

Thurs: Patent search update presentation A2 size + 3 Sketches in A2 size (all to be pin on board)

Fri: Product Matrix Chart A2 size + 3 Sketches in A2 size (all to be pin on board)



All sketches to be up by 9am for class T01 and 12pm for class T02. Items such as the presentation can be in A4 size, they can be done in group if topic is similar. Show me good stuff.
